McCain: Obama ‘Directly Responsible’ for Orlando

4

Senator John McCain, who faces a tough a primary fight in Arizona this year and who lost to Obama in the 2008 presidential election, told reporters today that President Obama was “directly responsible” for the horrific shooting in Orlando because of his alleged inability to defeat the Islamic State.

Omar Mateen reportedly pledged allegiance to ISIS during his shooting rampage early Sunday morning at a club in Florida that left 49 people dead and 53 others injured.

The senator later added in a statement: “I misspoke. I did not mean to imply that the President was personally responsible. I was referring to President Obama’s national security decisions, not the President himself. As I have said, President Obama’s decision to completely withdraw U.S. troops from Iraq in 2011 led to the rise of ISIL. I and others have long warned that the failure of the President’s policy to deny ISIL safe haven would allow the terrorist organization to inspire, plan, direct or conduct attacks on the United States and Europe as they have done in Paris, Brussels, San Bernardino and now Orlando.”

  1. Wow, I’m surprised Matzav published such a provocative headline. You guys are so careful to walk on eggshells regarding any criticism of His royal highness.

  2. He is so right! My NJ Senator goes to filibuster the floor calling for gun control!! Fool! Did he ask why Islamic terror caused the Orlando massacre? didn’t even mention it . It was all about gun control. That will solve Orlando,9/11, Are they so ‘detached’ from reality in DC? These Democrats are so lost. Shomer pesoim hashem!

  3. McCain. All maverick and no mantra. Obama is just untidy gold. The real problem is we are in a hate era. Random terror hate is expressly present.

Work with the president. Do not lucky punch his rights to make hard decisions. He is not al queda.

Maverick I hope you stay in office. The world needs comedy.

    Hilly future.
