After Melania Trump’s speech last night at the Republican National Convention, the anti-Trump media went into overdrive, claiming “striking similarities” between her remarks and those of First Lady Michelle Obama during her 2008 DNC speech.

Here is an excerpt from Melania’s speech:

“From a young age, my parents impressed on me the values that you work hard for what you want in life. that your word is your bond and you do what you say and keep your promise; that you treat people with respect. They taught and showed me values and morals in their daily life. That is a lesson that I continue to pass along to our son, and we need to pass those lessons on to the many generations to follow because we want our children in this nation to know that the only limit to your achievements is the strength of your dreams and your willingness to work for them.”

Here is the segment of Michelle Obama’s 2008 speech that the anti-Trump liberals say Melania lifted:

“Barack and I were raised with so many of the same values: that you work hard for what you want in life; that your word is your bond and you do what you say you’re going to do; that you treat people with dignity and respect, even if you don’t know them, and even if you don’t agree with them. And Barack and I set out to build lives guided by these values, and pass them on to the next generation. Because we want our children—and all children in this nation—to know that the only limit to the height of your achievements is the reach of your dreams and your willingness to work for them.”

Here is a Washington Post report on the matter:

“Barack and I were raised with so many of the same values,” Obama said at the time, “that you work hard for what you want in life; that your word is your bond and you do what you say you’re going to do; that you treat people with dignity and respect, even if you don’t know them, and even if you don’t agree with them.”

“Barack and I set out to build lives guided by these values,” she continued, “and pass them on to the next generation. Because we want our children – and all children in this nation – to know that the only limit to the height of your achievements is the reach of your dreams and your willingness to work for them.”

A moving testament to values shared by two people, offering guidance to the audience on the other side of the camera.

Journalist Jarrett Hill, though, noticed and tweeted about something interesting about Melania Trump’s speech at the 2016 Republican convention: The values that guided Michelle and Barack Obama appear to have also guided Trump – basically verbatim.

Here’s Trump’s speech, as delivered:

“From a young age,” she said, according to prepared remarks, “my parents impressed on me the values that you work hard for what you want in life; that your word is your bond and you do what you say and keep your promise; that you treat people with respect. They taught and showed me values and morals in their daily life.”

“That is a lesson that I continue to pass along to our son, and we need to pass those lessons on to the many generations to follow,” she said. “Because we want our children in this nation to know that the only limit to your achievements is the strength of your dreams and your willingness to work for them.”

Even as Hill’s tweet rocketed around social media, Donald Trump tweeted his praise for her performance.

Trump didn’t write her speech unassisted. CNN’s Zach Wolf reported that Trump had been aided by a speechwriter and had been working on her address for more than a month.

It seems unlikely that Trump’s speechwriter was the same person who came to Michelle Obama’s aid in eight years ago. (c) 2016, The Washington Post

  1. This is too ominus to be considered an act of job right. Unless you think the humane are in the same library card, this is one plagiarised speech.

It is not yireh to see how it compares to Michelle Obama. Mistake not thought.

Vote history into Washington. Elect a woman. Melania will only sit around and rival the wall paper. Shameful.

  2. Wow. This is terrible. This is a disgrace. This makes America look bad in the eyes of the world. We are now insecure as a Nation. Trump should step down immediately in disgrace. The Republican party should disband over this. At this point only the purity of Hillary Clinton can save us.

  3. I didn’t realize that Matzav was so pro Trump as to refer to the entire media as “anti Trump”.
That being said, watch the side by side video. Only a fool would think it was coincidence.

  4. Some say that Trump may not be that great, but he is surrounding himself with great advisers. He definitely surrounded himself with great speech advisers!
