The Moetzes Gedolai Hatorah of Agudas Yisroel in Eretz Yisroel, comprised of leading Chassidic admorim, will gather tomorrow, and the focus of their meeting, according to sources, is the dangers posed by technology and, specifically, WhatsApp.
The meeting will begin at 4 p.m. at the Agudas Yisroel building on Rechov Shomer HaKosel in Yerushalayim.
The Moetzes hasn’t convened since Cheshvan, over seven months ago.
The unequivocal demand of all the admorim of the Moetzes to the council’s secretary, Rabbi Mordechai Stern, was that the subject of technology and WhatsApp be raised at the meeting.
The first to bring up the topic was the Vizhnitzer Rebbe, who was then joined by the Sadigura Rebbe and the Sanzer Rebbe, who have spoken of the spiritual damage wrought by certain devices and applications.
The Moetzes members expected to attend the meeting include the admorim of Ger, Belz, Vizhnitz, Sanz, Boyan, Slonim, Biala, Sadigura and Modzitz.
