rav-yitzchok-feigelstockAlumni, parents, and friends of Mesivta of Long Beach were delighted to hear that the yeshiva, which sustained massive losses due to Hurricane Sandy, has moved back to its home in Long Beach, NY, after having relocated to the Raleigh Hotel upstate on a temporary basis.

The renowned makom Torah is led by the Long Beach rosh hayeshiva, Rav Yitzchok Feigelstock.

As a recent asifa held to benefit the yeshiva, Rav Chaim Yehoshua Hoberman, rosh yeshiva of Mesivta of Long Beach, gave first-hand testimony of the devastation that hit the city of Long Beach and described how severely the yeshiva‘s dormitories and the rabbeim‘s homes were damaged. He thanked the public for their support and said that it’s a personal chizuk to see the warmth that has been shown at this trying time.

Funds are still desperately needed to assist in the rebuilding and to get the homes of the rabbeim, which suffered major damage, back in order.

In the meantime, the bochurim of the yeshiva moved back Tuesday night, after enjoying the hospitality of the Raleigh Hotel.

Contributions for the recovery effort may be sent to: Mesivta of Long Beach Emergency Relief Fund, 205 W. Beech St., Long Beach, NY.
