Mezuzah Forger Nabbed

Police and soldiers recently raided a building in the Ashkelon industrial park where a 28-year-old was producing fake mezuzos. The suspect barricaded himself inside, requiring the forces to enter via windows.

Multiple mezuzos were screen-printed simultaneously by using a squeegee to force ink onto parchment through laser-cut masks. Dozens of mezuzos were ready for marketing.

The police acted in cooperation with the Chief Rabbinate’s unit for kashrus fraud.
