MH17A report by the Dutch Safety Board has concluded that Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 crashed because of a Russian 9M38 Buk missile, which struck the front left of the plane.

The Boeing 777, which carried 298 people, crashed in rebel-held east Ukraine in July 2014. Ukraine and western countries say it was Russian-backed rebels who fired the missile; Russia maintains it was fired from Ukrainian-controlled territory.

Relatives of some of those who died in the crash have been told that passengers aboard the plane would have lost consciousness almost immediately. Read more at BBC News.
