If disappeared plane Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 is not recovered by the end of May, Malaysia, China, and Australia-the three countries leading the search for the plane-will have to scrap their plans and go back to square one.

“By the end of May, if we still can’t find the plane, then we will have to go back to the drawing board,” Malaysia transport minister Liow Tiong Lai told reporters today.

Liow said he remains “cautiously optimistic” that the wreckage of the Boeing 777 is in the southern Indian Ocean. He added that “we need new directions, we need plans, we need to review all the data that we have.” Read more at ABC News.
