huckabeeformer Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee says “there’s no doubt” President Barack Obama “has done plenty of things worthy of impeachment.”

But it’s unlikely to happen, he said.

In an interview with Iowa conservative radio host Steve Deace, the “Huckabee on Fox” host, who is considering a run for president in 2016, said Obama “absolutely” deserves to be impeached.

Huckabee, a Republican, told Deace the Democratic-controlled Senate would block any attempt at impeachment.

“From a governmental standpoint you’re not going to see it accomplished with this Senate,” Huckabee said. “But I think it’s an important argument to make that there are a number of things this president has done in the overuse of the executive power, his complete ignoring of the law, even his own law.”

“This is a president who passes Obamacare and when the Republicans want to change it, the answer is, ‘It’s the law of the land’ – until it isn’t the law of the land,” he said, “until he wants to give over 40 exemptions to his pals. Well, you can’t do that.”

Huckabee pointed to his own time as governor, saying, “I would love to have been able to just make up the law as it suited me. But I put my hand on the Bible and I swore that I would uphold the Constitution – not my, just, own opinions,” he said. Read more at Newsmax.

  1. So impeach him already!

Meanwhile, Huckabee should tell his fellow Republicans to cease telling Obama to break the law by summarily deporting refugee children.
