Mishkoltz Rebbe: Don’t Attack Iran, Hashem Will Destroy Ahmadinejad

mishkoltz-rebbe[Video below.] Rav Shalom Berger, the Rebbe of Mishkoltz, says there is no need to attack Iran because Hashem will get rid of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

“In my opinion, there is no necessity to take any military action against Iran,” he said during a recent drasha.  “The wicked Iranian [Ahmadinejad], who threatens to destroy Israel, will disappear shortly, before he will have time to vent his anger.”

He explained, “G-d brings a horrible ruler against Israel. He [the Creator] brings problems on Israel in order to unite the People of Israel.”

“The wicked Haman did not do anything. He wanted to, but he could not do anything. We must stop with divisions and factions and we must love all the People of Israel and care about every individual.

“This is the way to deal with the Iranian threat, just like in the days of Haman.”

  1. Bimichilas kvoid harav. What will it help if Hashem gets rid of Achmadinejad, Achmadinejad isn’t much more then a puppet of the Ayatolahs? Get rid of this puppet they’ll quickly reinstall another. If the Ruv means that the evil ways of the persians will be altered and they’ll stop persuing a path to destroy a country a fraction of their size then fine, the Ruv’s words will be a good report for Klal Yisroel. But if it means Achmadinejad’s tenure terminateing well that’s not really a news item.

  2. I can’t agree. In the times of Purim, we had to do our Histadlut. There was a war that had to be fought. Like the times of Purim though, Iran will crumble from within.

Besides, Ahmadinejad is only a small part of the problem. Iran is really controlled by it’s supreme leader, Khamani (sp?). The Iranian regime has been working on nukes before him and will continue to work on them after him.

  3. Excuse me, but the main point of the Rebbe’s message was that the purpose of the Tzaros and trying times is so Am Yisrael will unite. Let’s concentrate on THAT part of the message. Be on the lookout for opportunities to unite to our brethren instead of picking them apart, on ridiculous forums such as these, for wearing a different style Kippah, or Havara, etc.

  4. how could a person see all the tragedies befalling klal yisroel & not get the message from Hashem to start doing teshuva? does everyone think these tragedies are coincidence?

start doing teshuva now BEFORE tragedy strikes again C”V

  5. The Matteh Moshe writes that in the time of Moshiach, the biggest problem will be Poras (Persia; and he wrote that around 400 years ago.
