President Trump’s job approval rating has spiked 10 points over the last month and Republicans have erased a double-digit deficit in the generic ballot for the House, according to a new poll.
The survey, conducted by Monmouth University, finds that 42 percent approve of the job Trump is doing, against 50 percent who say they disapprove. The same poll from December found Trump’s job approval at 32 percent, against 56 percent who said they disapproved.

If on Fake News Trump’s address scored him over 75% and on CNN 70%, means he scored at least 15%-20% more, as has been proven with other polls.
CNN is known to take their polls from Democrats only plus 2 Republicans for good measure. Hence, if Trump got a 70% approval rating from Democrats, it’s huge success.
Not sure if you’re actually reading the article. It says his approval rating is 42%, nothing about 70%. The 70% number is specifically for the State if the Union, this poll is an overall approval poll reflecting the last few weeks (probably including his success on getting tax bill passed). When you keep in mind that he only got 47% of the vote to begin with, then throw in a constant barage of negative coverage, 42% is pretty good. His ceiling is probably around 50%, so he’s at a pretty good point right now.
Also have to remember that even those who voted for him don’t necessarily approve of him or everything about him, they just voted for him because he is better than Hillary. So overall, 42% approval is pretty good.
42% is what the Hill reported. On other fake news, including CNN, it was 70%.

I don’t know which Fake News you get your information from. According to Real News 97% who voted for him, approve of him today too. Also, over 60% Democrats flipped over on his side and would vote for him again – especially after his SOTU address where they were highly surprised and satisfied. So Democrats have an extremely low chance to win Trump in 2020, unless the CIA can add a much larger amount of fraud for them – much more than what they had for Obama and at least 5x the amount they had for Hillary.
