A frum woman was killed earlier tonight after she was struck by a van while leaving a Saddle River Road nail salon. Hatzolah and RVAC Ambulance Corp rushed to the scene of the accident. The woman was pinned by the van against the wall of the shopping center.
RVAC Ambulance transported the patient to Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, NY, with severe internal injuries. Due to the severity of the accident, Ramapo Police requested that the Accident Investigation Team respond.
Police said the woman, described only as middle-aged, was leaving Ivy Palace Day Spa and Nails at 424 Saddle River Road at about 7:10 p.m. when a Ford van hopped the curb and pinned her against the building.
Police said the driver of the van was uninjured.
The woman was pronounced dead at Good Samaritan Hospital A short time later, Misaskim was at the scene and at the hospital.
