More Photos: Lakewood Contributes $250,000 for Rubashkin

rubashkin-asifa-at-lake-terrace-hall-38[Photos below.] Last night’s massive asifa at Lake Terrace Hall in Lakewood, NJ, for Reb Sholom Mordechai Rubashkin has created waves across the Jewish community. The asifa was one of the largest, if not the largest, of the gatherings held for Reb Sholom Mordechai over the last few months.

More amazing yet is that a staggering $250,000 was raised at the Lakewood asifa. While that sum is small in comparison to the enormous amount of funds that must still be raised, it is indicative of the selflessness and true sensitivity of the Lakewood community, who turned out in unprecedented numbers to show concern and care for a fellow Jew in need.

Below are photos of the event:

Significant funds must still be raised for the legal defense costs and the upcoming appeal. Anyone who can help out and lend support should take a moment to send a donation to the Pidyon Shvuyim Fund. The help of Yidden across the globe is severely needed.

Lakewood is the city of Torah and Chessed. All of us yidden turn and look to such a great place like lakewood, the yeshiva and roshai hayeshiva should have Hazlacha. And everyone should only have Yeshuas and Gezunt.
