snowAnother storm system is on the way for the Tri-State Area on Tuesday. AccuWeather Meteorologist John Feerick said it appears the snow will begin Tuesday afternoon, continue through Tuesday night and taper off early in the day on Wednesday.

Although exact accumulations right now are “a little big sketchy,” Feerick said the storm system will bring “several inches” of “plowable snow fall.”

After getting hit with a general 1-4 inches of snow on Friday, the area was seeing some additional accumulation Shabbos. Nearly 7 inches were reported in Atlantic City, but other parts of Southern New Jersey saw about 3 to 5 inches by Shabbos afternoon.

In Suffolk County – where 2 to 4 inches of snow were expected to fall – a Winter Weather Advisory remained in effect until 6 a.m. Sunday morning.

The National Weather Service also warned of slippery roads and pockets of snow possibly blowing overnight.

Sunday is expected to be windy, cold and partly sunny with a high of 35.

  1. “the storm system will bring “several inches” of “plowable snow fall.” Is it REALLY going to be plowable for the New York sanitation department? Or maybe it will be plowable but the sanitation department (or the INsanitation department, as I now like to call it:) won’t plow, so the plowable part doesn’t even make a difference in the article!!!

  2. The Global Warming meeting was postponed due to the storm of two weeks ago and rescheduled for this Tuesday! Help! When will it be rescheduled for this tiime if we’re hit again!!!!
