“We feel that it is a terrible, terrible tragedy,” said Mrs. Schlissel. “We regret this very much and daven for the recovery of those who were hurt.”

Schlissel was released from prison just weeks ago after serving 10 years for stabbing marchers at a 2005 pride parade in Yerushalayim. He stabbed six people on Thursday. Shlissel was arrested immediately after the attack.

“We will not allow this despicable killer to undermine the core values that Israeli society is based upon. We contemptuously denounce his actions of hate and violence. We will do everything in our power to bring this killer to face justice,” Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu remarked.
