Motzoei Shabbos: Yeshiva Emek Halacha Inaugural Lakewood Reception


rav-usher-davidThis Motzoei Shabbos, Parshas Mishpotim, Yeshiva Emek Halacha, led by its rosh yeshiva, Rav Usher David, will hold its inaugural Lakewood reception at N’eemas Hachaim Hall.

Founded 44 years ago by Rav Tuvia Goldstein zt”l, the renowned posek, Yeshiva Emek Halacha was one of the foremost institutions of learning in Brooklyn. With its move to Lakewood last year, the yeshiva has continued to make its mark on the Olam Hatorah under the inspired leadership of Rav David, a son-in-law of Rav Goldstein.

The reception this Motzoei Shabbos will begin at 8:30 p.m. At the event, Shul Representative Awards will be presented to Rabbi and Mrs. Yehoshua Ausfresser of Khal Lev Avrohom, Rabbi and Mrs. Shmuel Dov Bernath of Bais Medrash Nachlas Yaakov, Rabbi and Mrs. Naftoly Eisgrau of Bais Medrash Chanichei Hayeshivos, Rabbi and Mrs. Shea Friedman of Khal Torah Utefillah, Mr. and Mrs. Moshe Klein of Bais Medrash Khal Bais Halevy, Dr. and Mrs. Chuna Chaim Lebowits of Bais Medrash Ateres Binyomin, Rabbi and Mrs. Meir Ezra Levi of Bais Medrash of West Gate, Rabbi and Mrs. Yisroel Meir Manies, and Rabbi and Mrs. Shloime Schubert of Bais Medrash of Kelm Woods.

The reception chairman will be Rav Yonoson Sanders, founder and dean of Bais Tova.

  1. Although Rav Tuvia disagreed with Reb Moshe regarding the Eruv in Brooklkyn, Reb Moshe would always respect him and acknowledge Rav Tuvia’s Shitah.
    People who use the Eruv in BP, basically rely on Reb Tuvia and on the fact that Reb Moshe himself knew that Reb Tuvia is Matir the Eruv and had great respect for him.
    The Chasidishe rely on the Satmar Rov, who didn’t want to make one and take responsibility on its up-keep, but held that it is effective once its made.
