  1. Becky we will forever miss your smile. Too many words, I cant express, completely blocked by the sharp pain of having to think that your not gonna be here anymore.

  2. I met Becky a’h and although she was not a perfectly healthy person, she was full of life and fun. She had a terrific sense of humor and was a talented professional baker.
Her creations were exquisite and tasted great too.

I’m sure there was a lot more to than her dynamic bubbly, creative personality.
She will surely be missed by everyone whose lives she had touched.

  3. She was a special person. Always with a smile and a laugh for anyone and everyone. She was the role model for Simchas HaChayim. We have suffered a tremendous loss and wish nechama and chizuk to her beautiful family.

  4. I am in total disbelief. I was together with Rav Alexander in yeshiva, first in Yeshivas Bais Binyomin Stamford Conn and later in BMG Lakewood. If I remember correctly he got engaged within months after he came to BMG and got married within weeks thereafter. I remember someone at the time saying that Rav Alexander was such a masmid the RSO repaid him in a way that he was able to get engaged and married in a very short time period so that he wouldn’t have to be distracted from his learning. May the RSO give him and his entire mishpocho true nechama.

  5. I am still getting over it. There was a planned tehillim asifa for 7 o’clock last night- then it became a levays at 9. She was soo amazing- an inspiration to us all. She was such a fighter!!! Boruch dayan haemes!!

  10. we can learn so much from Becky. She always had such a positive attitude even when she was in tremendous pain. she was an incredible mother to her children as well as to all ages in the community. if anyone needed to get something off their chest, they knew they could talk to her and she would give great advice and so much chizuk. We lost a very special neshama last night

  11. Simcha – #17

Your 6 words are the most powerful words I have ever read on any website. I do not know you or your family. I do not know how old you are. I read your 6 words and I cried. She was your mommy. She will always be your mommy. Many people will tell you how special she was and you will hear so many things that you know and did not know. Realize that all of those stories combined into one are not as strong as the love your mommy had for you.

Hashem has her now right next to him and she will always be close to Hashem. She is going to do everything she can for you and your family as she has until she passed away. Just like mommy loves you Hashem also loves you and Hashem will always watch over you and protect you. It’s okay to cry, we are all crying.

Thank you Simcha for being so strong and so special to come here and write to your mommy for all of us to read. You have made me stop and realize that something so sad has happened and Hashem wants us all to know that even when he has to do things that make us sad he still does it with so much love because Hashem loves us and wants us to be close to us.

Simcha you keep doing Mitzvos and making people happy and every time do it for your mommy and she will keep going higher and higher in Gan Eden with a huge smile telling everyone in Shomayim that her Simcha’la is the best son ever!

  12. The Levaya in Israel will be on Friday at the “Eretz HaChaim Cemetary” near Bet Shemesh at “Shimshon Junction” Time to be verified late tonight / early tomorrow morning as Israel waits for flights to be verified “on time” or “delayed” before publishing a time.

As reference: Typically Levayas in Isreal are 1 ½ to 2 hours after the flight lands. Currently, Rabbi Charlop’s flight is scheduled to arrive in Israel at 11:40 AM Friday morning – excluding delays.

  13. Dear Simcha,
your post penetrated my heart. your mother was amzing! alothough i lost touch with her on and off over the years she taught me alot. right now all i keep picturing is skippimg down the road with her in camp over 20 years ago. she was a sunshine and i am sure that sunshine continued onto you.
when i reconnected with her yers later it was to help a mutual friend and with all her brilliance and softness she knew what to do to help this person i was in awe of her. everyone talks about her simchas hachaim which she really had to the core of her being. i know the simcha in your life has been sucked out but slowly as days go by it will come back into your lfe slowly slowly and please let it because it will be a piece of your wonderful mommy sitting so close to your heart.
Hamakon yenachem eschem bsoch shaar avla tzion byerushalayim

  14. Simcha, words can not describe the pain I feel for you now. I am crying now as I type these words. I remember that every time I saw your mother, she always had a smile on her face. May she be a mailetz yosher for you, your family, and k’lal yisroel. May you know no more tzar. I will always have you in mind in my tefillos.
Umacha hashem kol dima me’a kol panim.

  15. Dear Simcha,
There are no words, Simcha, no words to heal your pain. Your mother will be missed by all who knew her. As we cried through her levaya, we shook our heads in disbelief that someone so full of life could be gone. The whole city came out in honor of your mother, the entire city cried and is still crying for your mother, and the whole city is heart broken. But most of all, our hearts break thinking of you, Simcha, and your brothers. Please know, that all of cleveland are thinking of you, all the yiddishe mommas care for you, daven for you, and want to help you heal your pain. And we can all imagine your mother, holding court in shamayim, being so close to the Ribono Shel Olam and beseeching like Mama Rochel, to help you find comfort, to help you to feel Hashem’s love always even in your pain, and to convince Hashem to bring the yeshua so that we may all feel no more pain and tzaar.
