It is with great sadness that Matzav.com reports the passing of Mrs. Esther Leah Reich a”h, the matriarch of the noted Reich family of 12 brothers in the Sanzer community.
Her husband, Rav Shmuel Refoel Reich zt”l, passed away 18 months ago. Rav Shmuel was a noted askan in the Sanzer kehillah, assisting in the establishment of Kiryat Sanz in Netanyah and Sanzer institutions the world over. He was close to the Shefa Chaim of Sanz and his son, the current Sanzer Rebbe.
Mrs. Reich was known as a righteous woman, who devoted her life to her husband and to raising illustrious children on the path of Torah.
Her twelve children include Rav Avrohom Yehoshua Reich, rov of the Sanzer kehillah in Antwerp; Rav David Zev Reich, rov of the Sanzer shul in Tzefas; Rav Bentzion Reich, mashbak of the Shefa Chaim; Rav Moshe Reich of Har Nof; and Rav Yaakov Mordechai Reich, rosh yeshiva of the Sanzer Yeshiva in Bnei Brak.
The levayah was held in Kiryat Sanz, Netanyah, followed by kevurah at the bais hachaim there.
