It is with great sadness that Matzav.com reports the petirah of Mrs. Hennie Meisels a”h, who passed away after an illness.

Mrs. Meisels was a daughter of the legendary Reb Elimelech (Mike) Tress zt”l, the famed Agudah and Hatzolah leader, and Mrs. Hinda Tress a”h.

Mrs. Meisels, together with her husband, Rav Yehudah Michoel Meisels, led the Sarah Schneirer Seminary in Boro Park, Brooklyn, and the Seminar Seminary in Yerushalayim.

Mrs. Meisels was a special woman, an ishah chashuvah who devoted her life to others, via her chinuch endeavors and her selfless chesed, and she was the matriarch of a wonderful family of marbitzei Torahbnei Torah, and leaders of their respective communities.

Mrs. Meisels is survived by her husband, Rav Yehuda Michoel Meisels; her siblings, Rav Shmuel Boruch Tress, Rav Tzvi Tress, Rav Mendel Tress, Mrs. Eskie Reidel, Mrs. Leah Bloch, Mrs. Danya Pichey, Mrs. Shevy Jundef, Mrs. Devorah Tropper and Mrs. Basie Rosenblatt; her children, Rabbi Zev Meisels, Rabbi Elimelech Gavriel Meisels, Rabbi Elazar Meisels, Rabbi Gershon Meisels, Mrs Rochel Slanger, Mrs Chana Flam, Mrs. Shulamis Rosenberg, Mrs. Esther Rivkah Nekritz, Mrs. Shoshanah Jaegar and Mrs. Basie Flaumenhaft; and grandchildren and great-grandchildren following in her ways.

The levayah will take place today, at noon, at Sarah Schneirer Seminary, located at 4622 14th Avenue, at 47th Street, in Boro Park, Brooklyn. Kevurah will follow at the Wellwood Cemetery, located at 1500 Wellwood Avenue in West Babylon, NY.
