candle-small3It is with great sadness that we report the passing of Mrs. Miriam Lowenbraun a”h, wife of Rabbi Yitzchok Lowenbraun, National Director of AJOP, The Association for Jewish Outreach Programs.

She was a daughter of Rav Shloime Twerski, Hornosteipler Rebbe.

Mrs. Lowenbraun resided in Baltimore, serving as a devoted wife, mother, teacher, and counselor.

Mrs. Lowenbraun formerly served as a counselor and teacher at Lev Shlomo, a boy’s high school in Baltimore, was the administrator and founder of The Baltimore Teaching-Learning Center, was a counselor for NCSY and a counselor for Project Yedid.

In addition, she was a teacher and a source of guidance for kallahs for over 30 years. She was widely sought after as a counselor and speaker, specializing in educational matters.

The levaya will take place today at 1 p.m. at Bnos Yisroel of Baltimore, located at 6300 Park Heights Avenue in Baltimore, Maryland.

Kevurah will take place in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, next to her father.

  1. Mrs. Lowenbraun assisted her husband in his lifelong dedication to chinuch and kiruv rechokim. They are pillars of the Baltimore community and are well respected by all. She has left behind children who follow in her ways of Torah and dedication to the klal. Her life tragically ended early, but her legacy will continue to live on…
