It is with great sadness that we report the passing of Mrs. Rivkah Plaut a”h, wife of Rav Dovid Plaut, rov of Chevrah Shas on Ridge Avenue in Lakewood.
Rav Plaut, a respected talmid chochom and baal chessed, is a dentist by trade and formerly served as a rov in Buffalo, NY. His bais medrash has, for seven years, served as a popular makom Torah utefillah and is currently the home of Yeshiva Gedolah of Brick. Mrs. Plaut was a devoted aishes chayil, doing everything to ensure that her husband can learn without disturbances and allowing him to learn in Bais Medrash Govoah throughout his years in Lakewood.
Mrs. Plaut was 48.
The levaya was held this morning at the Seventh Street Holocaust Memorial Chapel of Congregation Sons of Israel in Lakewood.
Mrs. Plaut is survived by her dedicated husband, Rav Dovid, her mother, and two teenage daughters.
The family will be sitting shivah at 350 Ridge Avenue in Lakewood. The phone number is 732.886.3097.

I knew Rabbi and Rifka Plaut from Buffalo and from Lakewood. She truly was an aishes chayil. Tznius, graceful and a great person and mother. This is a great loss for the family and K’Y. May you come back soon with Techias Hamtim and all of K’Y together. We will miss you. Hasehm should give nechama to Rabbi Plaut and their daughters soon. Zev
