It is with great sadness that Matzav.com reports the passing of Mrs. Ruchama Applebaum a”h of Los Angeles.
The 55-year-old mother of ten had sustained the passing of her husband, R’ Shevach, a number of years ago.
A fund has been established to raise money to cover the costs of the levayah, kevurah and related expenses. You can participate here.

Rebbitzen Applebaum was the wife of Hagoan Reb Shevach Applebaum ztzal who was nifter 4 years ago erev Yom Kippur. She leaves behind 10 children, four married children and 6 children still home. The youngest is 14 years old. The rebbitzen was a master mechaneches for many years
really? In a town where perhaps the richest yidden live they couldn’t get these important expenses to be covered?

Just saying, $140,000 was raised… so I’m not sure why you think people here aren’t giving.
1st of all Los Angeles isn’t a town it’s a city a very big city & #2 not everyone in Los Angeles is wealthy, yes there are lots of wealthy ppl there but not everyone is & yes with all the wealthy ppl living there it is hard 2 believe that not all the funds have been raised
