Mumbai has dictated at least 16 “no-selfie zones” after India broke the world record for the highest number of people who have died while snapping photos of themselves.
The country has been the location for 19 of the world’s 49 registered selfie-related deaths in the past two years.
Russia was home to the second-highest number of selfie-linked deaths.
Off-limit selfie areas of Mumbia now include places along coastlines or high vantage-points with no railings or barriers. The city is also allegedly planning an awareness campaign. Read more.
