Munkatch Kollel Melava Malka to be Held this Motzoei Shabbos


munkatcherThe inaugural melava malka to benefit the Munkatcher Kollel Chaim Vshulem will be held this Motzoei Shabbos Parshas Beshalach at the Anshei Sfard Hall, located at 4502 14th Avenue in Boro Park. Scores of Munkatcher chassidim and friends of the mosdos anticipate the opportunity to pay tribute to this worthy Torah institution and to lend support during these difficult financial times.

Kollel Chaim V’Shalom Munkatch, one of the jewels in the crown of Munkatch Torah institutions, under the leadership of the Munkatcher Rebbe’s son-in-law, Rav Yosef Horowitz , is a unique makom Torah where yungeleit have the opportunity to further their Torah studies and excel in their learning. The administration prides itself on the fact that the yungeleit receive their monthly stipend on time, so that their learning will not be distracted by financial burden.

This year’s melava malka is dedicated to the memory of Reb Chaim Yisroel ben Reb Moshe Yehuda z”l, father of renowned philanthropist and supporter of all Munkatcher mosdos, Reb Yankel Stern, and his brothers, Reb Avrom Moishe and Reb Yitzchok. A special hakoras hatov presentation will be made at the dinner to the Stern family in their father’s memory.

An exciting program has been arranged. Singer Shimmy Engel will lead the assembled with zemiros accompanied by a musical ensemble. The highlight of the evening will be the divrei Torah and divrei chizuk delivered by the Munkatcher Rebbe. At the culmination of the evening, a special drawing will be held for all participants.
