Physicians placed Chacham Ovadiah into a medically-induced coma and hooked him up to a respirator as they continue to address his various ailments. He has received a pacemaker and has undergone dialysis.

Time for all of us to do teshuva together ASAP so all tragedies can finally come to a halt.
Wish we did teshuva long ago. So much tzaros couldve been avoided if we did.
A gutten moed
Firstly, the custom is not to mention titles when davening for one who is sick.
Secondly, “Yosef” is his family name. Therefore, the correct name to use for davening is:
Chaim Ovadiah ben Georgia.
May Hashem send him a refuah sheleimah b’soch sha’ar cholei Yisrael!
I believe that the proper name would be Rav Chaim Ovadiah ben Georgia (Yosef is his last name).
His full name is Ovadia Yosef, his last was Ovadia but he changed it to Yosef in his early adulthood.
We should all be shaken and do teshuva
And Massim tovim for his refuah shelema.
Amen
Aha! So that’s how Rav Nissim Ovadia was his brother. It seemed awkward that hia family name was Ovadia and his Yosef.
Thanks #4 for clearing the picture.
May he have Refuah Shlayma
#2 & #3 please don’t speak unless you know what you are talking about. ????? ???????
#4 is 100% correct
A great man is ill, we are asked to pray for him, and all you people can do is to argue over his name.
You don’t think that god knows whom it is that you are davening for?
