[Video on today’s attack HERE.] The names of the two Israeli soldiers killed in the Hezbollah attack on the Lebanon border haves been released: Captain Yochai Kalangel, a company commander in the Givati Brigade, and Sergeant Dor Chaim Nini, a fighter in the company.
Haaretz reports that Captain Kalangel, 25, from the Har Gilo settlement near Yerushalayim, was posthumously promoted to major. Sergeant Nini, 20 from Shtulim in south central Israel, was posthumously promoted to staff sergeant.
Kalangel grew up in the Elazar settlement in Gush Etzion. He was the second out of six siblings. He was survived by a wife and a one-year-old girl. Nini was survived by his parents and two brothers.
