susan-rice-un-ambassador-to-unU.S. National Security Advisor and former U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice took to Twitter earlier this week to blast Israeli critics and defend U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry over his warnings that Israel may face more boycotts and isolation.

“Personal attacks in Israel directed at Sec Kerry totally unfounded and unacceptable,” Rice said on her Twitter account Monday evening.

Rice continued tweeting that “John Kerry’s record of support for Israel’s security and prosperity rock solid.”

She then went on to reaffirm President Barack Obama’s and Kerry’s commitment to Israel, saying, “POTUS and Sec Kerry remain committed to negotiations that can secure Israeli and Palestinian futures.”

Finally, she added, the “U.S. Govt has been clear and consistent that we reject efforts to boycott or delegitimize Israel.”

Rice was defending Kerry against recent attacks by some senior Israeli officials over his statements at a security conference in Munich last weekend suggesting that Israel could face further isolation and boycotts if it failed to achieve a peace deal with the Palestinians.

Shortly afterward, Israeli Economics Minister Naftali Bennett slammed Kerry.

“We expect our friends around the world to stand beside us, against anti-Semitic boycott efforts targeting Israel, and not for them to be their amplifier,” Bennett said, the Associated Press reported.

In January, Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon called Kerry’s Israeli-Palestinian negotiations efforts “obsessive” and “messianic.”

  1. Susan, you should be in prison for the deaths of the 4 Americans in Bengazi! You are the last person who should be saying anything!

  2. Ms.Susan why don’t you go on the Sunday talk show circuit. Like you did on the Benghazi farce. Why do you have to tweet and twitter your defense of Kerry? Scardey Cat.
