Navy SEALs Will Become Open to Women

navy sealThe Navy is planning to open its SEALs program to women for the first time. Adm. Jon Greenert, the service’s top officer, said that if women complete the training, they should be allowed to serve.

“Why shouldn’t anybody who can meet these [standards] be accepted? And the answer is, there is no reason,” he said.

The Army and Air Force are also looking to open all combat jobs to women. The news comes on the heels of a report that two women passed the grueling Army Ranger course. Read more at Navy Times.
