According to Israeli sources, Israeli prime minister Bibi Netanyahu slept on the floor of a Boeing 737 which took off from Israel on Motzei Shabbos en-route to France, where Netanyahu met with France’s new Prime Minister Emanuel Macron.

The phenomena, reports Bechadrei, was a result of a technical difficulty which did not permit for a bed to be installed on the 737 airplane placed at the service of the PM and his entourage.

A Boeing 737 is considered to be a relatively small plane, making it more difficult to install a bed on board.

In light of the busy summer travel season, an alternative plane could not be found and the PM was forced to use the designated 737.

Netanyahu suffers from back pain, so he slept on the floor of the plane on the way to France.

As previously reported, after a short delay, the finance committee, headed by MK Moshe Gafne, approved the purchase of a new airplane for the prime minister, at a cost of 182 million NIS. In the meantime, Netanyahu will have to continue using the service of El Al and perhaps sleep on the floor from time to time.
