netanyahuIsraeli Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu was one of 13 world leaders to make it onto Time Magazine’s list of 100 most influential people, but was chastised on its pages by former defense minister Ehud Barak for not acting tough, particularly on Iran, the Jerusalem Post reports.

“Daring actions are needed. Not just words,” said Barak, who himself was prime minister from 1999-2001.

The Time’s list included some of the most powerful leaders in the world, such as US President Barack Obama and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The short descriptions of each person on list was often penned by their peers and was not always positive.

Some of the other leaders on the list were Narendra Modi, India’s new prime minister, as well as German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Iraq’s prime minister Haider Al-Abadi, Indonesian President Joke Widodo and King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

  1. Netanyahu is not Torah-observant. While he is the better of the evils out there, he is not a role model or anyone we should look up to. The recent spate of admiring and lauding articles about him on Torah-oriented websites is troubling.
