Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office is pushing back against a claim from a Fox News correspondent that he told President Trump not to move the embassy to Jerusalem at this time.

“The things published on Fox New are a lie,” the prime minister’s office said in a statement, according go the Jerusalem Post.

The prime minister’s office further released various quotes from summaries of the prime minister’s meetings with Trump.

The office said during a lunch meeting at the White House, Netanyahu “was asked about the embassy and explained [that moving it] would not lead to bloodshed in the region, as some were trying to intimidate [President Trump] into believing.”

Earlier Monday, a correspondent from Fox News tweeted a report that Netanyahu had asked Trump not to move the embassy. Read more at The Hill.

  1. This whole conversation is getting stupid already. Honestly, who cares??? Does it really make a difference where the silly little office is located. Let them move it to Kiryat Shemona for all I care. As long as America defends Israel and has a hands off additude approach, both sides will be very happy. Just let Israel do what it has to do in order to defend itself and make life better. Moving a stupid office with a fax machine to East Jerusalem, in it of itself, will accomplish nothing.

  2. Since the inauguration, POTUS Trump has been wise to heed my counsel to not move the US Embassy from Jerusalem to Israel.

Moving the US Embassy now will increase the level of chaos and violence in the Holy Land. Such a move will not increase the chances of peace. As Ecclesiastes states, there is a time and a place for everything. 2017 is not the right time for this move.

After the right moves are made, i.e. The IPC2017, all nation’s embassies, even North Korea’s, could be placed in Jerusalem. Holy Land Paradigm.
