netanyahu“In less than 100 days the people of Israel will decide who will lead them in the face of the greatest security challenges we have known since the state was established,” said Israeli Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu, who  urged Israeli Knesset members to approve his call for early elections.

Netanyahu said it is “appropriate” for the prime minister to seek a renewed mandate from the public.

“Anyone who belittles the threat posed by a nuclear Iran on Israel is not worthy of leading the state of Israel for even one day. Today, unprecedented sanctions are imposed on Iran, which issue a harsh blow to its economy. We now have capabilities to operate against Iran that we did not have in the past,” he said.

“We did not start any unnecessary wars – we didn’t start any wars at all. In the seven years that I have served, there were no wars and there was a decrease in terror. There was no war because we projected strength,” Netanyahu said.”
