menachem-stark5NYPD investigators have come up with a new clue as they work on solving the tragic mysterious murder of R’ Menachem Stark z”l.

Police have discovered that a cell phone was strapped underneath R’ Menachem’s car, apparently to be used as a tracking device. Detectives are working to find the phone’s registered owner.

Reports have claimed that NYPD detectives have no solid leads in the case, but those familiar with these sorts of investigations indicate that, often, what is known to investigators is not revealed to the public until after a full, exhaustive investigation.

Police have released video of a masked suspect and they’re looking for the van used in the abduction of Menachem.

Police Commissioner William Bratton has called the investigation “complex.”

  1. There are so many cheaper, easier and less traceable devices for tracking someone than to strap a cell phone. Were they that stupid? Or just pretending for the sake of confusing investigators?

  2. What are you talking about? You walk into any store and buy a phone for $20 in cash. One month of minutes included. No registration, no traceablility. What could have been cheaper?
