The New York City Department of Sanitation has issued a Snow Alert beginning at 3 a.m. Monday, with 1-3 inches of snow expected in the five boroughs, ABC NEWS reports.

It is part of an on and off pattern of snow that will continue through Wednesday.

Meteoroglist Amy Freeze says no major storms are expected, but there will be intermittent snow showers over the next few days that could make for slick driving conditions.

The AccuWeather forecast calls for Sunday night to be mostly cloudy before snow moves in Monday, with highs in the upper 30’s.
