The schoolday is about to get longer for some New York City school kids – and we’re not talking a couple of minutes. It’s about to be two and a half hours longer.
If scores go up, the plan could be extended city-wide, CBS 2’s Marcia Kramer reported Monday.

its good to keep the kids off the street i think it would be benificial to keep the school day the same but make school go on for longer so less summer vacation
I disagree. That means that the Chayos are going to be walking the streets the same time my kids get out.
