New York To Spend $100 Million To Fix Potholes

Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced that the state would spend $100 million to repair highways across New York.

That would be in addition to the $65 million already included in the state budget to repair pothole-damaged local roads and the $300 million that had been allocated this year to repave state highways. Read more.

  1. What a purposeful waste of taxpayer money. The State creates the potholes in the first place by dumping all the unnecessary salt all over the roads every time there are reports in the news of minor flurries. They use the worst possible damaging salt. Then they mindlessly plow the clear snowless roads scraping up the pavement. Does the governor think we are all that dumb?
