Nightly Pandemonium in Yerushalayim Market Disturbs Nearby Yeshiva

The Gerrer yeshiva located near Yerushalayim’s Machaneh Yehuda market appealed to religious city councilors to do something to halt the market’s transformation into a nightly entertainment center.

Noting that coffee shops, bars and restaurants were also opening less than a hundred feet from the yeshiva, the letter complained that amplified music and noise made it impossible for hundreds of bochurim to learn or sleep and disturbed people davening at the nearby kevorim of the Imrei Emes and Pnei Menachem of Ger.
