psagot-magen-david-adomTerror has returned to Israel.

A nine-year-old girl was injured tonight, Motzoei Shabbos, while she was in the yard of her home in Psagot, which is located north of Ramallah in the West Bank. No one else was hurt.

Paramedics at the scene took the girl to Shaare Tzedek Hospital in Yerushalayim, where doctors said she suffered injuries to the upper part of her body.

The IDF said that a terrorist from the nearby Palestinian town of al-Bireh likely infiltrated Psagot and committed the crime. Footprints found near Psagot’s security fence and a hole in the fence led to this assumption.

Dr. Daniel Fink of Shaarei Tzedek said he told security officials that the terrorist was standing at point blank range. She is said to be “completely stable,” bechasdei Hashem.

A local resident, Shlomo Petrover, found the girl and treated her along with others until an ambulance arrived.

A paramedic, Yoni Hakohein, told Arutz Sheva that the girl had been hit by a bullet that went clear through her neck. According to initial reports, the girl was  playing in the yard of her house and may have been hit by sniper fire.

  1. “Terror returns”? Since when has terrorism been completely gone from Israel that we can say it has returned? Sounds almost like a sequel the way the headline is written…
