Researchers now realize that urban noise has a detrimental effect on the human body and psyche, Futurism reported.

High noise levels exacerbate high blood pressure, disturb sleep, damage hearing quality, and induce stress, which negatively impacts the immune system and the heart.

The U.S. first acknowledged noise as a problem with the passing of the Noise Pollution and Abatement Act of 1972 but there’s still a long way to go.

Urban and suburban noise also affect birds and marine mammals which rely on vocalizations to communicate and raise families. Bats’ echolocation is blurred by noise and oysters clam up in noisy environments, eating less and reducing their endless filtering of coastal waters.

  1. Why don’t we start with our chassuna’s??? Why do I have to have my ears ringing for days, after I come back from a wedding? Why do I always come back with a sore throat as well because I had to shout to the guy standing right next to me? Is that a normal way to have a conversation? Ridiculous.

  2. Clapton is losing his hearing. Lots of Amps.

Well, I do not regularly go shooting. I have a friend whose hearing I am told is very bad from much time at the range.

Still, we do have much to learn. It is an auditory world. Keep the music playing and earplugs if possible. We must hear the worth of the soul and the world.

Shalom still said in hope to the ear. We believe.
