North Korea Cancels ‘Anti-US Imperialism’ Rally After Trump-Kim Summit


North Korea is skipping its annual “anti-US imperialism” rally marking the start of the Korean War, a month-long event intended to strengthen nationalism and unity among North Korean citizens.

The new friendlier tone towards the US comes after President Trump held a meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in Singapore on June 12. At the meeting, the two leaders signed an agreement in which Pyongyang committed to working to denuclearize the Korean peninsula.
