North Korea is calling on the United States to lift sanctions imposed on Pyongyang.
“Now is the high time to put an end to the U.S. anachronistic anti-DPRK hostile policy and its futile moves of sanctions and pressure,” said North Korea’s National Reunification Institute Director Ri Jong Hyok, as reported by Reuters.
President Trump earlier this month agreed to meet with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un after a South Korean delegation visited the north but said sanctions would remain in place until the United States reaches an agreement with Kim.
