Tonight: Novominsker Rebbe To Speak For Yeshiva Chofetz Chaim in Lawrence

This evening, at the home of Aharon Wolfson, the Novominsker Rebbe will be speaking on behalf of Yeshiva Chofetz Chaim-the Rabbinical Seminary of America. Rabbi Dovid Harris, the rosh hayeshiva, will be speaking following the Novominsker Rebbe.

Since the yeshiva’s inception in 1933, Chofetz Chaim has been at the forefront of producing bnei Torah dedicated to serving Klal Yisrael.

Last year, HaGaon HaRav Henoch Leibowitz, zt’l passed away. He led the yeshiva with heart and soul for over 66 years. The yeshiva has launched a national sefer Torah campaign in memory of the rosh hayeshiva. The lives of hundreds of thousands of Jews have been affected by the rosh hayeshiva and his talmidim.

A letter was sent to most of the community by Rabbi Binyomin Kaminetsky, Rabbi Dovid Weinberger, Rabbi Shaya Richmond, and Rabbi Aryeh Zev Ginsberg encouraging everyone to attend the reception at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Wolfson, 1019 New McNeil Avenue in Lawrence.

Rav Dovid Weinberger of Congregation Shaaray Tefila of Lawrence and talmid of Rav Henach is the rabbinic chairman for the evening. The Roshei Yeshiva, Rav Dovid Harris and Rav Akiva Grunblatt will be present and many of the local rabbonim are expected to attend. Kesivas oisiyos will take place before and after the speeches.
