In a sign of how brutal, emotional and deeply personal the coming battle over gun violence is likely to be, the National Rifle Association on Tuesday accused President Barack Obama of hypocrisy for having Secret Service protect his daughters even as he opposes the group’s call for armed guards in schools.
The Web video, first obtained by The Blaze, opens with a narrator asking, “Are the president’s kids more important than yours? Then why is he skeptical about putting armed security in our schools when his kids are protected by armed guards at their school?”
The 35-second video makes no effort to hide the tension and animosity between the NRA and Obama, even stepping into the recent “fiscal cliff” debate. The video continues:”Mr. Obama demands that the wealthy pay their fair share of taxes but he’s just another elitist hypocrite when it comes to a fair share of security,” as an altered image of the president peers over a stack of dollar bills, followed by images of “Meet the Press” host David Gregory, California Sen.Dianne Feinstein, New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Vice President Joe Biden.
A White House official declined to comment on the video. However, spokesman Jay Carney did announce that Obama would outline his administration’s plan to address gun violence on Wednesday.

wow the NRa and their supporters are stupid. To answer their question: No the Presidents kids are not more important than mine, however they are at a much much greater risk
this is a stupid discussion.
It is absolutely obvious that the persident and his family, due to their exposure to the public eye, have to be protected. And while this is true, it is equally true that the public should be unarmed!
There is a difference between hiring professional security and handing out automatic guns to anyone who feels like purchasing them, as if they were candy and soda. Oh, wait, the govt does get involved against junk food.
This is a stupid discussion. It is obvious that all children have to be protected from a Newton repeat. They need proffessionally trained retired police officers to protect them. Mr. Obamas cfhildrens lives are not more worthy than Noah Pozners – with his beautiful eyelashes.

Please realize that those comments are from hired liberal guns. They don’t mean what they say. All they do is character assassinate, since they’re void of any meaningful argument. They know they’re wrong – but they want to live in a world where there is no right or wrong. Thats their true goal.
Hi, this is #4, please explain slowly, because I am stupid. It seems to me quite obvious that the country should allocate more manpower and a larger budget to protect the president’s daughters than the average children, given that the risk of being shot is much greater for the president’s daughters. We can continue the argument: no one suggests that the president’s life is worthier than any citizen’s, however he has security at the taxpayer’s expense, the average citizen does not. That said, any citizen or group can and should hire security whenever appropriate, for example to protect Jewish schools and synagogues. This is what I think, but please clarify my stupid mistakes, as I am obviously too dumb to realize them by myself.

It seems quite obvious that the Mr. Obama lied and said that his goal is to protect children. He even did a show with them yesterday. Yet he’s trying to make it “illegal” to have security armed guards in schools.
You know that. You’re stupid for assuming we can’t tell a hired defender/attacker. The NRA is correct.
