kaci-hickoxA judge in Maine has asked nurse Kaci Hickox to stay out of public places while the state’s request to keep her in quarantine is heard. Hickox returned from treating Ebola patients in West Africa this month and was quarantined in New Jersey and then Maine despite testing negative for the virus.

The judge’s restrictions for Hickox (based on CDC guidelines) include submitting to monitoring, coordinating her travel with public-health officials, not going to public places, not leaving the town of Fort Kent, and staying three feet away from other people while engaging in outdoor activities.

Officials previously said they would try to prevent Hickox from even going outside, but have backed off that. Hickox, meanwhile, has said she would fight any mandated quarantine. Read more at Portland Press Herald.
