NY: Gov. Cuomo Names Frum Yid As Jewish Community Liaison

david-loblNY – Governor Andrew M. Cuomo today announced the following appointments to positions within the Executive Chamber.

David Lobl, formerly Director of Public and Government Affairs at Human Care Services for Families and Children, Inc., will serve as Community Representative.

De’Shawn Wright, formerly Deputy Mayor of Education in Washington, D.C. will serve as Deputy Secretary for Education.

Ian Rosenblum, formerly Secretary of Policy & Planning in Pennsylvania Governor Rendell’s administration, will serve as Director of Policy Coordination.

“Each of these individuals will bring years of experience, as well as new energy and fresh ideas to our efforts to rebuild New York State,” Governor Cuomo said. “I look forward to working alongside these new members of the administration as we serve the people of this state.”

David Lobl, a frum Yid, will serve as a community representative and liaison, focusing on outreach to New York’s Jewish population.

Mr. Lobl will leave his post as Director of Public and Government Affairs at Human Care Services for Families and Children, Inc. where he has served since January 2012. Prior, he served in the same position for The Friedlander Group, a public relations and political advocacy firm.

Lobl holds a Bachelor of Talmudic Law from Derech HaTalmud and has studied at Aderes Hatorah in Yerushalayim.
