NYPD Commissioner Kelly Visits Kosel With Malcolm


kelly-malcolmNYPD Commissioner Ray Kelly, who is in Israel for the Herzliya Conference which he addressed yesterday, today paid a noontime visit to the Kosel accompanied by MK Shaul Mofaz and Mr. Malcolm Hoenlein, the executive vice chairman of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Organizations. Mr. Kelly was greeted at the Kosel by Rav Shmuel Rabinovich, rov of the Kosel, who explained to the Commissioner the religious significance of the Kosel and the history of the place.

Mr. Kelly and the others toured the Western Wall tunnels and areas where excavations have been performed recently.
Mofaz explained the nature of the Old City of Yerushalayim and its rich history. Mr. Kelly and the group discussed the comprehensive security measures employed in the city.
