NYPD Hercules Unit to Stage Anti-Terrorism Exercise at Alice Tully Hall

The NYPD Special Operations Division will stage an anti-terrorism exercise at Alice Tully Hall in Lincoln Center this morning. The drill will begin at 8:30 a.m. and continue for a few hours.

Members of the NYPD Hercules Unit will be heavily armed wearing extra heavy vests and Kevlar helmets while carrying automatic weapons.

The practice session is meant to increase the unit’s preparedness in the event of a real terrorist attack.
