[Video below.] The rivalry is alive and well. During the second period of an annual NYPD-FDNY charity hockey game in Uniondale, N.Y., Sunday, a bench-clearing brawl broke out.
The fight began in the second period when both teams were tied 3-3. The game did resume after the fight, and the NYPD had its first victory in six years, winning 8-5. Read more at Newsday.

This is particularly sad as FDNY firefighters and EMS personnel worked to save the life of two NYPD officers at almost the exact hour of the hockey game.
Please pray for Officer Dennis Guerra and officer Rosa Rodriguez. They are both in critical condition from smoke inhalation after a fire that looks like arson.
