NYPD Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association Endorses Joe Lazar For City Council
The NYPD Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association (PBA) endorsed Joe Lazar for City Council today in the 44th Council District Special Election on March 23rd, 2010. The PBA is the largest union representing uniformed members of the NYPD with nearly 50,000 active and retired police officers.
“Joe Lazar will fight for the NYPD in City Hall and make sure that the police department has the critical resources it needs to keep our streets safe,” said PBA President Patrick J. Lynch.
“I am tremendously honored that the heroic men and women of the Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association have chosen me to be their advocate in City Hall,” said Joe Lazar. “Protecting the NYPD from dangerous budget cuts has been a central tenet of our campaign, because we can never compromise the safety of New Yorkers by stripping the police department of the resources and manpower it needs to keep crime off our streets.”
In addition to the PBA, the Uniformed EMS Officers Union, which represents FDNY-EMS Lieutenants and Captains, has also endorsed Joe Lazar for City Council.

Wow! big time. Lazar brings the Police and FDNY and the other guy has the painters union. This race is a joke in my opinion.
