President Obama traveled to Delaware on today to deliver remarks at the funeral for Vice President Joe Biden’s eldest son, Beau, in Wilmington, Delaware. During his eulogy, Obama praised Beau as a man with “a mighty heart.” “Beau Biden was an original,” Obama said, fighting back tears. “He was a good man, a man of character, a man who loved deeply and was loved in return.”
Hillary and Bill Clinton were also in attendance.
Beau Biden served two terms as Delaware’s attorney general and had set his sights on the governor’s office. He died at age 46 of brain cancer. Read more at the Washington Post.
