obama-memorial-day[Video below.] In his Memorial Day address at Arlington National Cemetery, President Obama asked the country to remember the sacrifices the troops make to protect the nation.  

“Today most Americans are not directly touched by war,” the president said, noting that members of the military are concerned that the broader society doesn’t understand their plight.

Obama also visited a section of the cemetery where soldiers who fought in Iraq and Afghanistan were buried, and laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

Earlier in the day, the president and first lady hosted a breakfast for families who lost a loved one fighting overseas.

  1. Why is he honoring veterans? We have a terrible country that has done only horrible things. The only thing that made the First Lady proud is the fact that her husband was nominated to run for President. These people died perpetuating the travesty of justice that is the USA. Why celebrate?

  2. A terrible country? Horrible things? I sure hope you ain’t a citizen. We don’t need people like you. Go to where you think you can get a better life with the freedom you have solely due to those who died for its citizens. shame on you.
